Amedeo Modigliani - Portrait of a Woman - Art Print

Purchased on September 20, 2012

Portrait of a Woman
This is an art print purchased from a thrift store in Chelsea, I am not sure if this really a piece came by Modigliani... After I did some research online, I found one particular Ebay seller is selling this print. If you are interest in it, you may visit the link below to the seller store page.
On the back of the piece is an older label from ArtLore which located in New York City as a wholesale distributor of decorative art. I love how the frame and the mat color combined together - it is a vintage thick (in 2 inch) /sturdy wooden frame with my favorite green color mat!

Amedeo Clemente Modigliani (July 12, 1884 – January 24, 1920) was an Italian painter and sculptor who worked mainly in France. Primarily a figurative artist, he became known for paintings and sculptures in a modern style, characterized by mask-like faces and elongation of form. He died at age 35 in Paris of tubercular meningitis, exacerbated by poverty, overwork and addiction to alcohol and narcotics.
